Favorit bus shelter – modular and durable weather shelter
The Favorit bus shelter is a modular, high-quality shelter solution for bus stops, tram stops and passenger terminals. It provides effective protection from rain, wind and snow and can be configured flexibly according to the available space and expected passenger volumes.
The Favorit bus shelter is built from 1400 mm wide modules and can be configured as a 2–4 module shelter. Its recycled aluminium frame, safety glazing and structure engineered for demanding Nordic weather conditions make it a durable and long-lasting solution for a wide range of public transport environments.
Engineered for Nordic conditions
The Favorit bus shelter is designed to withstand demanding weather conditions. The structure is engineered for a snow load of 4.5 kN/m² and a wind load of 30 m/s, ensuring safe and reliable use even in open and exposed stop environments.
Safe and refined glazing solution
The shelter walls are made from tempered safety glass. The screw-free click-lock fixing system creates a clean, modern appearance without visible fasteners.
The glazing system uses rubber seals instead of silicone joints, creating a tight and durable structure while reducing maintenance requirements and supporting a long service life.
Durable and responsible aluminium structure
The Favorit bus shelter frame is manufactured from HYDRO Circal or HYDRO Recycled 4.0 aluminium, both of which contain a high proportion of recycled aluminium. The low-carbon aluminium structure helps reduce the shelter’s lifecycle carbon footprint and supports responsible construction as well as cities’ climate targets. The material combines excellent strength, corrosion resistance and long service life in demanding outdoor environments.
The powder-coated frame is available in almost any RAL colour, allowing the shelter to be matched to its surroundings.
Modular bus shelter with flexible configuration
The Favorit bus shelter can be configured with 2, 3 or 4 modules. Each module is 1400 mm wide, allowing the overall shelter size to be adapted to the available space and passenger volumes at the stop. Smaller configurations are well suited for compact stop environments, while larger models provide increased shelter and capacity for busy bus stops and passenger terminals.
The shelter can also be equipped with a range of optional accessories, including benches, information displays, advertising showcases and lighting solutions.
Fast installation with multiple delivery options
The prefabricated structure makes the Favorit bus shelter quick to install and easy to adapt to different project requirements. The delivery method can be selected according to the project schedule and site conditions.
Explore the available delivery options below and choose the solution that best suits your project.
-
Delivered as components (roof structure supplied pre-assembled)
The shelter is delivered for installation on site. The roof structure is supplied as a fully assembled unit, helping to speed up installation. Electrical installations are prefabricated, reducing on-site work, installation time and costs.
-
Fully assembled without a concrete foundation
The shelter is delivered fully assembled, allowing the foundation work to be completed on site before installation. The complete shelter can be lifted into position using a crane or forklift, making installation fast and efficient.
-
Fully assembled and installed on a concrete foundation
A fully installation-ready solution that minimises work required on site. The concrete foundation includes four lifting points, two on each side, allowing lifting eyes to be attached for safe and controlled handling by crane.
The shelter can also be equipped with extended foundation legs, allowing the foundations to be installed below the finished ground level. This solution is particularly suitable for sloping terrain and demanding installation environments.
