Taipalsaari Kirkonkylä Primary School and Saimaanharju Secondary School

Modern and attractive bicycle parking solutions, including colorful U2 bicycle arches, a Viva canopy, and a Bsafe battery cabinet, were implemented at the Taipalsaari Kirkonkylä primary school and Saimaanharju secondary school.

A clear need for functional and attractive bicycle parking solutions was identified at the sites. The solution chosen was clean-lined and durable bicycle racks that support the bicycle frame and allow for secure locking. Particularly, the colorful U2 bicycle arches bring a cheerful appearance to the yard area and make parking spaces easily discernible even for children. When the racks are visually appealing and clearly positioned, they guide users to leave their bicycles in the designated places.

The Viva canopy increases user comfort by protecting bicycles from weather conditions, which encourages year-round cycling. The Bsafe battery cabinet, in turn, addresses the growing need for electric cycling by providing a secure storage and charging solution.

The overall design is tailored specifically for school use: the racks are easy for even smaller users, and their ergonomics support a smooth daily routine. The result is a pleasant, functional, and safe bicycle parking area that promotes sustainable mobility and makes cycling even more appealing for school commutes.
