City 90 Bus Shelter – 3 Modules
The City 90 bus shelter with 3 modules is a classic and timeless bus shelter for bus stops, tram stops, and terminal areas that require durable weather protection, functionality, and a refined urban aesthetic. The three-module structure provides a large covered area and effective protection from rain, wind, and snow, making it an excellent solution for busy public transport environments and stops with high passenger numbers.
City 90 belongs to Team Tejbrant's well-known City product family, which has been a visible part of Nordic public transport infrastructure since the 1980s. The model has been widely supplied, especially to the SL public transport system (Storstockholms Lokaltrafik) in the Stockholm region, where thousands of City 90 shelters are still actively in use. Its long history of use in demanding urban environments speaks to the structure's durability, high-quality materials, and timeless Scandinavian design.
Lightweight and Durable Aluminium Structure
The frame of the City 90 bus shelter is made from high-quality powder-coated aluminium profiles, designed to withstand demanding weather conditions and busy public transport environments. The structure utilizes low-carbon HYDRO Circal or HYDRO Recycled 4.0 aluminium, which contains a high proportion of recycled aluminium. This reduces the carbon footprint of the bus shelter's lifecycle and supports sustainable urban development.
The lightweight yet extremely durable aluminium structure offers excellent corrosion resistance, a long service life, and low maintenance requirements in outdoor use.
The powder-coated frame can be finished in almost any RAL shade, allowing the bus shelter's appearance to be consistent with the surrounding architecture, streetscape, and urban environment.
Curved Polycarbonate Roof
The shelter's vaulted roof structure is made of solid polycarbonate, available in clear or smoked grey. The curved roof shape gives the shelter a light and modern appearance and effectively directs rain and meltwater away from the roof.
Water drainage occurs via the eaves at all four corners of the shelter. As an optional extra, downpipes can be installed for controlled water drainage.
Safe Glazing and Refined Appearance
The shelter's wall glazing uses 8 mm tempered glass, which offers good impact resistance and safety in public environments. Transparent glazing increases visibility and improves the feeling of safety at the stop. Partial glazing of the front wall is also possible.
The minimalist structure and consistent design make the shelter a stylish option for modern urban environments.
Modular Bus Shelter for Flexible Design
The City 90 bus shelter is composed of 1400 mm modules. The three-module configuration offers effective weather protection for larger passenger numbers while maintaining an airy and light structure. The standard module's depth and width are 1400 mm, but if necessary, the structure can also be customized to suit different environments.
The shelter can be implemented in configurations of 2–6 modules according to the site's needs. Several accessories are available, allowing the shelter to be customized to suit the operating environment.
Efficient Installation and Flexible Delivery Solutions
The prefabricated structure enables quick and smooth installation of the City 90 bus shelter in various environments. The delivery method for the shelter can be chosen based on the site's needs, schedule, and project implementation method. Several delivery options are available, allowing the solution to be adapted as efficiently as possible to the site and installation conditions.
-
Delivered in parts (roof structure as a complete unit)
The shelter is delivered to the site for assembly. The roof structure is delivered as a pre-assembled unit, which speeds up installation work. Electrical installations are pre-prepared, reducing on-site time and costs.
-
Delivered fully assembled without concrete foundation
The shelter is delivered fully assembled, allowing foundation work to be completed on-site before installation. The assembled shelter can be easily lifted into place with a crane or forklift, making installation quick and efficient.
-
Delivered fully assembled and installed on a concrete foundation
A completely ready-to-install solution that minimizes on-site work. The concrete foundation has four lifting points (2 per side) to which lifting eyes can be attached for safe and controlled crane movement.
Additionally, the shelter can be equipped with extended foundation legs, allowing the foundations to be placed below ground level. This solution is particularly suitable for sloping terrains and demanding installation environments.
