City Light Bus Shelter – 3 Modules
The City Light bus shelter with 3 modules is a modern and cost-effective bus shelter for bus stops, tram stops, and terminal areas where durable weather protection, functionality, and a refined urban appearance are required. The three-module structure offers a large covered area and effective protection from rain, wind, and snow, making the shelter an excellent solution for busy public transport environments and stops with a high volume of passengers.
Light is a lighter version of the popular City 90 bus shelter. The structure utilizes different profile solutions and a more simplified execution, while maintaining the recognizable design language and high-quality finish of the original collection.
Light and durable aluminum structure
The frame of the City Light bus shelter is made of powder-coated aluminum profiles. The structure uses low-carbon HYDRO Circal or HYDRO Recycled 4.0 aluminum, which utilizes a high proportion of recycled aluminum. The light but durable structure offers excellent corrosion resistance, a long service life, and a smaller life cycle carbon footprint in demanding outdoor environments.
The powder-coated frame can be implemented in almost any RAL color, allowing the shelter to be matched to the surrounding architecture and urban landscape.
Curved polycarbonate roof
The arched roof structure of the shelter is made of solid polycarbonate, available in clear or smoke grey. The curved roof shape gives the shelter a light and modern appearance and effectively directs rain and meltwater away from the roof.
Drainage occurs through the eaves at all four corners of the shelter. As an accessory, downpipes can be installed in the shelter for controlled drainage.
Safe glazing and refined appearance
The wall glazing of the shelter uses 8 mm tempered glass, which offers good impact resistance and safety in public environments. Transparent glazing increases visibility and enhances the sense of safety at the stop. Partial glazing of the front wall is also possible.
The simplified structure and cohesive design make the Light shelter a stylish option for modern urban environments.
Modular bus shelter for flexible design
The City Light bus shelter consists of 1400 mm modules. The three-module assembly provides effective weather protection for larger passenger volumes while maintaining an airy and light structure. The standard module depth and width of the shelter are 1400 mm, but if necessary, the structure can also be customized to suit different space requirements for specific sites.
The shelter can be implemented as 2–3 module assemblies according to the needs of the site. Several accessories are available, allowing the shelter to be customized to suit the operating environment.
Efficient installation and flexible delivery solutions
The prefabricated structure enables fast and smooth installation of the City Light bus shelter in various environments. The delivery method for the shelter can be chosen according to the needs of the construction site, schedule, and project implementation method. Several delivery options are available, allowing the solution to be adapted as efficiently as possible to the site and installation conditions.
-
Delivered in parts (roof structure as a complete unit)
The shelter is delivered to the construction site for installation. The roof structure is delivered as a pre-assembled unit, which speeds up installation work. Electrical installations are pre-prepared, reducing on-site time and costs.
-
Pre-assembled without concrete foundation
The shelter is delivered pre-assembled, allowing foundation work to be completed on-site before installation. The assembled shelter can be easily lifted into place with a crane or forklift, making installation quick and efficient.
-
Pre-assembled and installed on a concrete foundation
A completely ready-to-install solution that minimizes on-site work. The concrete foundation has four lifting points (2 per side) to which lifting eyes can be attached for safe and controlled crane movement.
In addition, the shelter can be equipped with extended foundation legs, allowing the foundations to be implemented below ground level. This solution is particularly suitable for sloping terrain and demanding installation environments.
