At Finbin, we believe that our success is built on the people of Finbin. In our "Meet the team" series, we take a peek behind the scenes and introduce the wonderful professionals who are the heart of this company.
Through this series, you'll get a closer look at how different teams impact our daily operations and how their work helps us stay at the forefront of our industry.
Finbin's logistics department permanently employs a total of four people, and today two of them, Lasse Grönfelt and Petri Marjamäki, will open the doors a little wider for us to the daily operations of logistics. They are responsible for handling the logistical operations of both incoming and outgoing goods, which are vital to the company's daily operations. In their work, they are true multi-talents who keep the company running smoothly day in and day out.
Lasse has been with the company for four years and brings over ten years of experience in the logistics industry. His working days consist of placing transport orders for finished shipments, packing products and loading vehicles, as well as other logistics tasks. In addition, Lasse is pursuing a vocational qualification in Service Logistics alongside his work, which demonstrates his desire for continuous professional development. His colleagues describe Lasse as a "diligent" person.
Petri's path to the logistics field began almost by accident when he saw a training program in the sector and decided to explore the world of logistics, which captivated him! He now has 15 years of experience in various logistics roles, four of which have been with Finbin Petri's days are filled with receiving incoming goods, shelving items, and collecting goods for the paint shop. He describes his workdays as hectic, with a significant portion of his time spent organizing and coordinating various logistics operations.

Lasse and Petri's job responsibilities heavily involve coordination between different departments, which requires excellent communication skills. These skills are crucial because logistics demands smooth information flow and cooperation between various teams. Working in logistics requires extensive expertise, ranging from coordination to customer service—aspects that may not immediately come to mind when discussing logistics tasks.
In 2022, Finbin's factory underwent a major renovation, with production facilities expanded by building an entirely new hall, and new investments made in production machinery, the painting line, and the development of the new factory. Finbin is a growth company that offers many opportunities, but change also brings its own challenges and requires employees to have diverse skills and continuous learning. Fortunately, Lasse and Petri both master these demands. Lasse feels that his opinions are heard, which increases job satisfaction. Petri appreciates the versatility of his job tasks, which keeps his workdays interesting and fast-paced.
In a work community, the most important thing is to get along with colleagues, have good team spirit, and enjoy work, which Lasse and Petri emphasize. When these elements are in place, it's pleasant to come to work and leave. Petri describes Finbin's work atmosphere as inspiring and surprising, which makes every workday different.
In their free time, Lasse's two Lapland Reindeer Dogs keep him busy and bring a lot of joy to his days, and sometimes a lot of headaches too. Petri, on the other hand, finds relaxation at the gym, on hiking trips, and fishing.
Finbin's logistics department is clearly in good hands, thanks to professionals like Lasse and Petri. Their capabilities and commitment ensure that the company's logistics processes run smoothly every day.
