Meet the team: Olli Jääskeläinen – Our Go-To Guy, Laser Expert, and Multitasker
In this blog series, we introduce the people behind Finbin, whose expertise and commitment make our company successful. This time, we want to highlight Olli Jääskeläinen, a long-standing laser expert and multi-talented individual, who has been an important pillar of Finbin for many years.
A laser master and the right man for the job
Olli Jääskeläinen has been with Finbin for a total of about 20 years. He started his career with our company in 1997, and although his path led him elsewhere for a while, he returned to Finbin six years ago. Olli has primarily worked with laser cutting, but his versatile skills and extensive experience have made him a true jack-of-all-trades at Finbin.
When Finbin acquired its first laser cutting machine years ago, its operation naturally fell to Olli. The work at that time was very different from today – a lot of manual craftsmanship that required precision and carefulness. Olli has always considered laser cutting to be a service profession, striving to deliver the product or the missing part to those who need it as easily and quickly as possible.
Laser cutting is the first and a very critical stage in Finbin's production processes. Errors made at this stage can multiply throughout the entire production chain, emphasizing the importance of accuracy in the work. The new laser cutting machine, commissioned in 2022, operates with modern automation, but even with it, continuous fine-tuning is needed to ensure processes run as efficiently and error-free as possible.
Olli particularly liked laser cutting because, although there was a daily list of tasks to be done, he could determine the order and priorities of his work himself. This autonomy has been an important part of Olli's work, enabling him to have a flexible and fulfilling workday.
Although laser cutting is Olli's core competence, his daily job description is much broader now. Olli helps with order and painting collection, as well as unloading goods. In addition, he is always ready to take on various tasks, such as pick-up or repair assignments. Olli is the person you can rely on in any situation – he is always ready to help when help is needed.

Work-life balance
In his free time, Olli enjoys skiing in winter and cycling in summer, but his greatest passion is football and futsal. Olli has volunteered as a coach at Fc Nokia's football and futsal club for 10 years, and this role takes up a significant part of his free time. Olli is indeed a person who knows how to combine his work and leisure so that both aspects support each other.
Trust and team spirit
Olli values Finbin's work community especially for its trust and cooperation. This mutual trust and open communication have made working at Finbin particularly pleasant.
Olli describes Finbin as a good employer, and he feels that he has always been treated fairly and respectfully. He has seen the company go through major changes and a generational shift, but Finbin has retained the values that make it a good workplace. Olli himself is a committed employee with a high work ethic – sometimes even too high, as he admits that scheduling can be challenging when it's hard to say no.
Olli Jääskeläinen is a living example of what it means to be dedicated to one's work and work community. His contribution at Finbin has been invaluable, and his story inspires us all to strive for the better.
