Lehtovuori
is the Entrepreneur of the Year 2021 in Pirkanmaa!
Lehtovuori is better known outside of Finland as the Finbin brand.
September got off to a great start when we received the provincial Entrepreneur of the Year award. The award is given annually by the Entrepreneurs' board of Pirkanmaa. The selection of Lehtovuori Oy was particularly influenced by the company's ability to innovate, its strong commitment to growth and its sustainable business.
The award is such a great thing for us. The fact that the award is given to us by our colleagues, meaning other entrepreneurs, increases the value of the award.
However, the biggest thanks belong to our great staff who work great as team and to our customers. Without them, the entire company would not exist, says the CEO of Lehtovuori Eero Ojanen.
At Lehtovuori Oy we are looking directly to the future and finding ways to grow the business with new investments as well as utilizing modern technology in the rather traditional industry. Our environmental goals are visible in the product design and production, which shows that the principles of sustainable development have been seen in the company as a competitive factor, says Janne Vuorinen the Chairman of Pirkanmaa Entrepreneurs.

A large order to France and
investment in the production development
Lehtovuori is better known outside of Finland as the Finbin brand.
A couple of hundred City Solar smart bins have been ordered from Lehtovuori Oy's plant in Ylöjärvi to Southern France, which will be delivered to the Pays de l'Or area early this summer. An order worth almost one million euros will bring Ylöjärvi jobs for many man-years.
At the same time as the significant export transaction, Lehtovuori Oy's Board of Directors confirmed the largest development investment in the company's history.
During the years 2021–2022, we will invest a total of EUR 4.5 million in the production machinery, painting line and construction and development of our new plant in Ylöjärvi. As a result, in 2022 we will have the most modern production facility in our industry which will meet the highest international quality criteria. For example, an investment in the painting line will raise the quality of our surface treatment well above the quality level used in our industry, Eero Ojanen says.

CitySolar was awarded the Green Manus Prize for Sustainability
In May 2021, we were the first Finnish company to receive the manus award. The competition searched for innovative products that utilize igus manus components.
There were almost 600 candidates from over 40 countries. Amongst these the CitySolar, which compacts waste with solar energy, was chosen for the first time to receive the Green Manus Award. A great recognition for a product designed and manufactured in Finland.
